Yandex acknowledged leaked code and partner data in 2023
On 30 January 2023 Yandex authenticated leaked code fragments. Its review found some partners’ information inside. The company said its initial analysis found no threat to service operation.
Yandex said the archive came from an outdated internal code repository. It contained drivers’ contact details and driving-licence numbers, which the company acknowledged violated its policies.
Yandex began moving information unrelated to algorithms into protected storage. It promised a code-review unit; the investigation continued.
