Russia’s digital and defence ministries are addressing data-centre protection
On 12 October Maksut Shadayev reported work on protecting IT facilities. The digital ministry was addressing it with the defence ministry. He did not announce completed protection at specific data centres.
Russia’s digital development minister Maksut Shadayev described the data-centre attacks as unprecedented. On 12 October he said his ministry was working with the defence ministry on protecting IT facilities.
Shadayev said backup capacity and equipment distributed across different sites kept some services operating. He thanked companies across the industry for assisting affected operators.
