Curator fault disrupted news sites on 8 October

The provider told Kommersant the fault began at 15:30 during maintenance. Human error disabled one network segment at the DDoS-protection company formerly known as Qrator Labs.

Curator promised affected customers downtime compensation and an investigation report. It attributed the fault to its own error; this was separate from the fire at Yandex’s facility that day.
