Yandex Pay outage blocked balances, payments and transfers
Many Yandex Pay customers lost access to funds on 11 October. Balance checks, payments and transfers failed. The service’s head said financial records were safe.
Yandex Pay and fintech head Dmitry Pirogov said the team checked copies of financial records and found no losses. He explained that records are replicated across data centres.
On 11 October Pirogov gave no restoration deadline. He said operations were returning cautiously, with checks on financial records.
